Jewish Journey Connector

We are excited to announce that we have been awarded a Jewish New Media Fund grant for the Jewish Journey Connector project

The Jewish Journey Connector is a transformative initiative in the Jewish community which uses data mining and predictive analytics to link the silos of Jewish life. The Jewish Journey Connector seeks to be for the Jewish community what Amazon has done for books: suggesting books you might like based on prior purchase history and friends’ purchases, and offers loyalty rewards points and discount coupons in order to encourage re-use. Individuals will be able to navigate their own Jewish journey by getting connected with the right opportunities, programs, and people that meet their interests and life stage at the right point in time. Organizations and foundations are able to place their programs in front of a wider audience of potential target participants than can be accomplished on their own, and perhaps most importantly, each program can track the impact it had on their alumni's long term Jewish identity and activity.

News

Earlier this month, we headed to Israel for the exciting 2011 ROI Summit where we shared the Jewish Journey Connector (JJC) with young leaders from around the world.

We launched the JJC at the Jewish Funders Network this spring and are happy to introduce it to a broader audience this summer as we prepare for next year's pilot.

Check out our blog, which is currently featured in an eJewishPhilanthropy series. The post positions the JJC as a true “game changer,” breaking new ground and pushing our community and organizations to think differently about ourselves.

"This has been the most successful and productive consultation we have had in the school since I have been here. Now I realize why I found other consultations and processes we have undertaken far less meaningful – because they were not based on concrete data. This was not superficial, which I think most outside consultations and consultants are."
